より具体的に言うと、好きな人に気持ちを伝える「告白」のことを、「告」と同音異義語の漢字である「黒」を使い、「黒白」と誤魔化すことだ。

同音異義語 sounds to me more like a word while here it's just a kanji, so I would rather say 同音異義の漢字

普通に、一般的には同音異義語は難しくて、紛らわしいけど、こういう誤魔化し方のために使えるのは便利かもしれない。

ごまかし方＝it's a method, and in Japanese the method itself cannot be useful(便利). It's either the object or the reason why this is useful.
◎例：スマホは便利だ。→◎
◎例：スマホは、どこでもネットが気軽に使えるから、便利だ。→◎
◎例：この料理法は便利だ。→×
◎例：この料理法はいろいろなところで応用できるので、便利だ→◎

もちろん話すそれを伝える相手にとってではないけど。

Here I think whether you are talking with that person is not important, but rather the fact you are sending the message with "kokuhaku" is. In this case, we don't use 話す (provoking the image of conversation) but 伝える or 送る(provoking the image that someone is doing something to someone else).
