Daily Life - Routine

Hi, I'm here again. It's difficult to learn a new lenguage because I'm learning alone, without any class, any course or any app, ok, that's not really true, I have a free course that I found in Internet and an app for vocabulary, but it's not complete, so I need to watch videos on Youtube for understand better. So, according to this free course, today I should write about my daily life. Let's go: I get up at half past six. After take a shower I do my breakfast and go to work. I start to work at nine and finish at half past four. I had lunch at 1:00. After work, I come home and eat something fast, a pasta, a sandwich or leftovers from last night dinner. At 6:00 pm, I start to study english for an hour and a half. Then, I do exercise, take another shower, listen to music or podcasts ( lately, I listen this just in english or french, because I need to learn english and I don't want to forget the little bit I learn of french). Finally, I go to sleep about eleven. Yes, I think It's a relax routine... Thanks for any correction, I read you :D

Describing my city

Hi, my name's Caroline, and today I would describe the city where I live. Toledo is a city near Madrid, in Spain. It's a beautiful medieval city, with wonderful churches, bridges, squares and their kind people. Toledo it's heaven for history lovers or anyone loves art and architecture. The buildings are evidence of all cultures than were here. In fact, this land was home to Romans, Visigoths, Christians, Arabs, and Jewish. Many times, Toledo is called "the city of the three religions" because in the past, when Arabs ruled here, these three people (Christian, Arab and Jewish) lived in harmony. I don't think this is absolute true but it's probably that they coexisted peacefully. Then later, this harmony was broked but fortunally, we are coexisting without any of these problems now. Of course, this city is not perfect but I'm not here to talk about this. There are many others things that I can talk you, like gastronomy, museums (the famous one is "house's Greco) or swords, knives, and daggers, but I'd do it next time. Daily Life - Talking about yourself

My name's Caroline, I have twenty-six. I'm from Mexico but now I'm living in Spain. I'm here with my family. I've got two sisters, one cousin, my uncle and my aunt. We came here five years ago because my uncles thought that we could be safer here and with more opportunities for look a job. At the moment, we are fine; my uncles and I are working, one of my sisters is studying at university and my cousin and my other sister are studying at high school. Spain is a wonderful country. I love its history, its food and its places. The people is nice too. They are very passionate. They talking hard, love to eat, to drink, to walk in the evening... I do it too. I love this country although it's not perfect, it's not too safe and the payment tax is too much. It's probably that I will go to another country for make money for the studies of my sisters. I will miss Spain, like now I miss Mexico. Both countries are really beautiful and I love both

A long time ago...

When I was a girl, I went sometimes to a beach very dangerous. There were enormous, violent waves that beat the rocks. There weren't trees or restaurants. It was a really lonely beach. There was just a little fisherman's house where sometimes his woman cooked some fish. (Is it correct to say "woman" or is best to say "wife"?) I was 12 years old and I swam there. One time a jellyfish touch my knee and, oh my God!!! It burns! I cried a lot and the fisherman's wife was really worried. However, I quite liked that beach: lonely, clean, savage. Anyway, it is probably that I never come back for many reasons and this is the best for me and for my memories.

Un jour in mon vie

Aujourd’hui est mercredi. Je me suis réveillée à 6h30. J’ai fait le petit-déjeuner pour ma famille. Puis, j’ai étudiée pendant quatre heures. Quand j’ai fini, j’ai dû aller au supermarché et à le magasin des fruits. Il y a très gens, beaucoup femme âgée avec leurs chauds manteaux de fourrure et leurs sacs à main. De retour, je suis allé à la cafèterie et j’ai acheté un café et un croissant. Aussi, j’ai allé à la librairie et j’acheté un livre : Le maître et Marguerite, de Boulgakov. Il est un classique russe. La première fois que j’écouté sur cet livre été par la recommandation d’un historien italien appelé Alessandro Barbero. Cet édition est très beau, il y a images de peintures russes. Je voudrais le lire il premier possible mais j’été très occupée et je serai aussi occupée pour tout le mois de décembre, en plus je à autres deux livres que je dois lire avant. Quand je suis retournée chez mois , j’ai fait le déjeuner, j’ai mangé et j’ai dormi un peu. Puis, j’étudie français. (Ici je à une question : Isn’t there the gerund form in French? ¿no existe el gerundio ? por ejemplo, en español “estoy estudiando” o en inglés “I’m studying”. For an action that I’m making now, right now) Plus tarde, je ferai exercice, la douche, la diner e finalement je dormirai. Je sais qu’est depuis très mois que j’étudie cette langue, je douvrais apprendre plus. Je sais aussi que je ne pas me comparer avec autres élevés mais c’est. Merci et a bientôt.

Quelques écrits

Des dernière deux semaines, j'étais très ocupée mais de toute façon j'ai écrit quelques texts: 1.- j’aime danser et écouter la musique ; j’aime beaucoup la musique classique, ma pièce préférée est « la danse macabre » de Camille Saint-Saëns, mais maintenet j’écoute « Once upon a december » de Emile Pandolfi, du film « Anastasia » du Disney. Est très belle. J’imagine moi danse dans un beau château avec une robe d’époque tant dans le même film. Autre chose que j’adore est faire une promenade, aller au centre-ville ou dans un parc, seule ou avec amis. Oui, j’adore se promener sans une destination. J’aime aussi la bonne cuisine et manger ; ma préférée est la cuisine italian et la cuisine mexicaine mais je n’ai problème avec essayer autre savourés : oriental, du pacifique, du nord Europe or quelque autre part du monde. 2.- Je dois acheter de la nourriture domaine. J’irais au supermarché et j’achèterai de la viande ; aussi des légumes : tomate, pomme de terre, oignon, brocoli et carotte ; de fruit : pommes et bananes … ah j’oublié aussi les castagnes et des courgettes. En plus, j’ai besoin du savon, du dentifrice et du shampoo. 3.- Les étudiant de cette école apprennent un peau parce que ils ne pose pas des question à l’enseignant. 4.- Il n’y a-t-il ne serviette ne savon au salle du bain est la douche est casée. 5.- Je ne pas parler l’anglais pourquoi je n’aime bien de langue et pourquoi je ne suis dans un pays ou je puis parler dans cette langue mais je puis il comprendre. Est une langue très importante est je l’écoute souvent dans les films, des vidéos ou de musique. En revanche, j’aime bien le français. J’ai étudié cette langue pour trois ou quatre semaines et je suis apprendre beaucoup. 6.- - Excuse-moi mademoiselle, je voudrais changer de place, s’il vous plait. - Pourquoi ? - Parce que je ne veux pas m’asseoir ici, cote ce monsieur.

Dimanche dernier

Dimanche dernier, ma famille et moi sommes allé au centre-ville. Nous avons mangé de la pizza. Mon pere demandé une "pizza romana" et il a très bonne. Moi, J'ai mangé une "pizza margherita" et j'ai bois une bière. Aprés, mes frères et moi, on avons visité une villa qu'est maintenant un musée ; il-y-a un grand jardin avec magnifique arbres e beaucoup fleurs ; il-y-a aussi un petit lac avec cigne. Nous avons acheté du souvenir ; j'ai acheté un livre sur l'histoire de la villa et autre livre sur jardinerie. C'etait une bonne e belle journée

Un petit-déjeuner dans un restaurant

Mon amie et moi sommes dans un restaurant. Nous avons demandé des indications pour arriver ici. On est venues prendre le petit déjeuner. Le beau restaurant a une belle vue sur un jardin et nous avons choisi une place côté fenetre. Le garçon arrive et demande notre commande. Mari, mon amie, veut un œuf au plat et un café ; je veux un sandwich mais le garçon dit me que il n'y a pas. Just a text

This afternoon I have been writing in English. I wrote a text that I found on YouTube. Truly this video is for practice listening but I write all the conversation because I remembered that when I learned Italian, first I learned to read and to write. Also, I did this because I'm frustrated for don't speak English when everybody speaks it. I will need to practice a lot because I don't have confidence with this language, even though I can understand it in a intermediate level.

Using the phrase "I quite like"

London is not my favorite city but I quite like because is modern and old at the same time and I like history, art and architecture. Also, it's big but transport is good and I can go everywhere and is possible to find everything I want to buy but is expensive and almost every day rain. Here, in London, I often eat carrot cake and I quite like too, but I prefer "tiramisú". Tiramisú is an Italian dessert make it with coffee and can be eaten cold. It's very delicius... besides the fact that I love coffee. I drink a lot of coffee and I know that this is not so correct but make me happy. In London is most popular to drink tea. Also tea like me, specially in evening and in hot days like these, I drink much cold tea. To everybody, this is just a text. I don't even know London.

A documentary

Today I was watching a short documentary about the nature reserve Massai Mara, in Kenya. There was a lot of animals: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, etc. The tribespeople said that before they killed animals for protected their families and houses but now, they protected animals because understood the fragility and importance of the environment. The documentary also showed a foundation for the recovery of certain trees and they explained the importance about donations. The shots were excellent.

my firs pubblication

This is my first pubblication here and on any other website. I have a little of vocabulary in english. I can to understand when I read simple texts or when I listen videos or movies but I can't expresse myself very well. I don't have practice because I live in Spain and here we speak spanish. I would like, someday, travel to the UK and live there for a few month, practice the language and know the culture, although for me, the british accent is more difficult that american accent. Perhaps this is because american accent is more usual, for example in movies or music. Anyway, I'm grateful for any correction
